ahh missed out on some six flags today =/. poopies. didnt have monies neway. we had a good band practice though. im all packed and ready for memorial camp. hopefully everything will go ok. we stopped by barnes and noble today where i picked myself up a lil “instant japanese” book full of useful lil phrases and common words. =D ill be speaking random japanese in no time! err more so than i do now… anyway, i listened to chasers practice today and their “audition” for karen(sp). she has a really nice voice. more of a backup voice, but a very nice one nonetheless. too bad i wont be here the metro chasers play =(. i would have liked to hear it. tin accidently stepped on my foot today and took off half of my toenail and it started bleeding. then he freaked out at the sight of it. -_-. its beautiful. id put up a pic but thats kinda gross…
ah well its off to camp for me. ikimasu! be back monday. oh that reminds me. did u see how i changed the lil days of the week on my calendar to japanese words? kekeke. ok enough of that. jyanne!
Freee! Free i say!
May 26th, 2004
yeey schools out! im freeeee. went shopping with kim, vil and sean today to kill time. i tried in vain to convince vil that weave belts are sooo early 90′s. even the guy at The Buckle said so(and he should know, right?). neway, i got me the latest redwall series book, Triss! (yes, chris, its the same series with the badger with a sword) im all sorts of excited. i cant wait to get started on it tonight. =D. and much to my discomfort, kim bought her friend a bra. o.0 the only person ill allow to buy me underwear is my mom. and even then… i just dont understand it. ppl, dont ever buy me underwear. o.0 henteko desu.
jennifer and vy’s graduation parties were mucho fun. although i boo vy’s choice of a hillary duff movie. blech. and i boo even louder the fact that i actually sat though half of it. x(. yes, i am a hillary duff hater. if i were ever to join a hatelisting, it would be hers. and i dont doubt that theres one out there. but neway, chris kindly lent me his kenshins which i have yet to start. perhaps sometime after memorial camp. i still need to practice and prepare stuff for that. mada mada dane.
::still waiting for the PoT’s::
ohaiyo gozaimaaaaaaasss
May 19th, 2004
i just realized that i said i would post about anime and jdramas but i still havent. hah. whops. anyway, as usual, im enjoying all the anime im currently watching, and as usual, im still crying over the lack of Prince of Tennis releases. =( expecially after christina showed me some screenshots of the latest eps and now i REALLY want to see. =( =( -(. one peice is growing on me with every episode as well. im trying to ration them out so i wont be reduced to waiting for the releases.
and at elis request, i started a jdrama called Good Luck. it was actually fairly good. learned lots about airplanes as well! =). although i still stand by my verdict that eli is a japanese fob and a hopeless romantic. it was fun to see japanese ppl speak and how they hold out stuff. like ohaiyo gozaimaaaaaaassssss. mon-neeeeeeh? funny stuff.
EDIT TO SAY: i finally got a past layouts section up including layouts from my blogspot days. i just realized i have never made a black layout. hmm i guess black isnt my kind of color. i must try a black layout soon…
A little further seems forever
May 19th, 2004
Theres a girl and her brother rolling around and crying in agony while the brother screams, “put in the harry potter! put in the harry potter!” Next to them sat their older brother and dad who just laughed.
thats the scene you would have witnessed if you walked into the room while we watched Celebrity Cult. which i must say it by far the worst movie i have ever seen. we have been trying to get tin to watch the second Harry Potter movie but this time, we decided to watch Celebrity cult. apparently one of my dads co-workers had a daughter who was in the movie and wanted us to watch it. half an hour in, tin was crying for us to put in the Harry Potter. youll see why in a bit.
the story was about some kids from dallas, texas who were tired of celebrities who were full of themselves and hollywood who told them what to do. so they kiddnapped Brad Schmidt (brad pitt, brad schmidt, HA HA!) and taught him what “life really was” and had him helping hobos and picking up trash. o.0 so story line is a thumbs down.
the movie was also created by the same person who did the Blisse dvd. need i say more? production quality was awful. as was the over-acting. also, the over dramatic teens in the movie went to a club to hear a band. guess where? the door. what band? blisse. whats funny is, they included scenes from the blisse dvd into the movie. wonderful.
the music was just awful as well. it was pretty much a bunch of songs fading in and out of the movie. they had nice little cues like when the girl asked “are we there yet”, “just a little further” someone replied. then she complained that “a little further seems forever”. cue in some further seems forever music.
complete with over-acting high school students, a guy whos wardrobe consisted of only cut-off button-ups, a pseudo love story, bad music, corney jokes, and crappy special effects, you can see why tin and i were crying in agony. awful awful. what hurts the most is the movie cost $50,000 to make. x_x *sigh* class is almost over. this concludes my crappy movie rant.
on a brighter note, kimmys wedding was nice. the chapel was really pretty. elvis did a good job on his song. hahha christabelle, rebekah and i all thought at the same time “male vocalist for supplicate”. we’ve been trying to find one but not much luck. i saw got to see quan which was nice. havent seen him in awhile. of course he pokes fun of the fact that im still in school. -_-. anyway, reception was great planning on kimmys part. she got rid of the lil kids and the loud music. what could be better for a reception? eli messed up rather bad on our song but luckily no one could hear his guitar neway. and kimmy sang! so cute. hmm yeah, since everyone who reads my blog was there, i wont bother.
Fish shoes
May 12th, 2004
whats up with girls who buy “cute shoes” and then go clomping around in them complaining that they “kill their feet”. no shoe is cute enough for me to put myself thought that much discomfort. i refuse to support designers who cant design a shoe thats both cute and comfy. unless theyre shoes like those way cool fish tank shoes. now those are just way too cool to pass up mans. poor fish though…
anyway, ive been yoinking some of mikeys [W] I [R] E [D] magazines lately and i must say, i think Wired is my new fav magazine. its so interesting to read. i even like looking at the ads. =O.
Sayonara Ryoma-kun
May 12th, 2004
alas, poor ryoma lasted even shorted than i predicted. but the colors were bothering me, so i decided lets just get rid of those troublesome colors altogether! back to plain and simple. =D time to play, “guess what that thing behind ‘linh.thehong’ is”!
